Since 2004, we have reduced our energy consumption by 48% per employee. Driven by decreased energy consumption and use of fossil fuels, our CO2 emissions dropped by 67% per employee in the same period.
Since the early 2000s, we have been measuring our environmental impact, ranging from the consumption of energy and resources to the emission of by-products and waste. And we have set ourselves ambitious targets for the future. Our long-term goal is to reduce emissions to zero by 2050.
Our employees around the world are a driving force behind this change. They connect via grassroot initiatives to reduce CO2 emissions from business flights, packaging waste or recycling materials. They care for biodiversity and make our sites greener. And they find solutions with local partners to make our communities more sustainable and worth living. With their commitment and passion, Roche is becoming ever greener – turning our founders’ vision into reality.
From Dhaka to London, our employees talk about the climate challenges they encounter in their everyday lives.
